Template testing allows you to A/B test different versions of your Shopify theme templates (product pages, collection pages, homepage, etc.). However, our template testing only works with standard Shopify templates.
How Template Testing Works
Our template test feature uses Shopify's built-in template system:
Redirect visitors between templates using Shopify's ?view= parameter
Track performance metrics for each variant
This approach only works with Shopify's native template rendering system.
Compatible Third-Party Apps
The following page builder apps can work with template testing:
GemPages (Traditional Templates only)
PageFly
Foxify
Shogun
Replo
EComposer
All other apps that use standard Shopify templates.
Instant Landing Page feature in GemPages uses a different rendering system that bypasses Shopify's standard templates so it's not supported.
Why This Limitation Exists
Our template testing relies on Shopify's native ?view=<template-title> URL parameter to switch between template variants.
Third-party page builders that create their own rendering systems (like GemPages Instant Landing Pages) don't follow this standard approach and cannot be intercepted by our testing system.
