Sometimes unexpected changes happen in your Shopify store. Whether it’s a setting being updated, a theme file being modified, it’s important to know where the change came from. Shopify provides a built-in Store Activity Log to help you track these actions.

Why This Is Helpful

If you ever notice a change in your store and are unsure of the source, checking the store activity log can clarify whether it was done by someone on your team, an app you installed. This helps avoid confusion and miscommunication.

How to Access the Store Activity Log

Make sure your account has permission for Home and Store settings > Manage settings.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings.

  2. Click General.

  3. In the Resources section, click Store activity log.

You will see a list of recent activities along with the name of the person, app that performed the action and the time it occurred.
