What are Shrine themes

Shrine and Shrine Pro are Shopify themes built by the Shrine team. These themes include built-in conversion tools for product pages, bundles and cart experiences that can be A/B tested through ABConvert.

Are Shrine themes integrated with ABConvert?

Yes. Shrine themes work smoothly with all ABConvert test types.

Price test: Compatible with duplicate-variant (default method) or duplicate-product method.
URL redirect test: Fully compatible.
Shipping test: Fully compatible.
Template test: Fully compatible.
Theme test: Fully compatible.
Checkout test: Fully compatible. (Note: Checkout UI test requires Shopify Plus)

Open ABConvert and create a template test.
Split traffic between the original template and the duplicated template.

What to test:

Different bundle-offer copywriting and discount percentages to see which version converts better.

How to test: using a Template Test

Duplicate the current product template for your best-selling product.
Update the bundle offer settings (e.g. text copy or change the discount percentage) inside the duplicated template.
Open ABConvert and create a template test.
Split traffic between the original template and the duplicated template.

Product Upsells

What to test:

Whether enabling product page upsells increases AOV for a key product.

How to test: using a Template Test

Duplicate the current product template for your best-selling product.
Enable the product upsell block inside the duplicated template.
Open ABConvert and create a template test.
Split traffic between the original template and the duplicated template.

Bundle Deals (Section)

What to test:

Whether enabling the “bundle deals” section improves conversion rate.

How to test: using a Template test

Duplicate the current product template for your best-selling product.
Enable the bundle deals section inside the duplicated template.
Open ABConvert and create a template test.
Split traffic between the original template and the duplicated template.

Cart Drawer

What to test:

Test different cart-drawer setups, such as adding a free-gift block or adjusting upsell elements inside the drawer.

How to test: using a Theme Test

Duplicate your current Shrine theme in Online store > Themes.
Open the duplicated theme and edit the Cart Drawer settings.
Add a free-gift section inside the Cart Drawer.
Create a theme test in ABConvert.
Split traffic between your current theme and the theme with the new cart-drawer setup.
