Why scripts remain after uninstalling
When you uninstall ABConvert from your Shopify store, Shopify immediately revokes the app's access to your store.
This happens faster than ABConvert can run the cleanup process, so any scripts already injected into your theme, and any tests that are still active are left in place.
How to remove all scripts
Step 1: Reinstall ABConvert
Go to the Shopify App Store and reinstall ABConvert.
Step 2: Open the Remove Scripts tab
Once you're in the app, look for the Remove Scripts link in the navigation. This link only appears when there are active or preview tests left in your store with scripts still running.
Step 3: Review the tests to be closed
The page shows you a list of all tests that are still active or in preview. These are the tests whose scripts are currently in your theme.
Step 4: Remove all scripts
Click Remove all scripts, then confirm in the dialog. ABConvert will close all remaining tests and remove all ABConvert snippets from your theme.
When the cleanup is complete, you'll see a confirmation that your theme is clean.
FAQ
The Remove Scripts tab is not showing
The Remove Scripts link only appears when there are still active or preview tests in your store. If you don't see it, your theme is already clean and no action is needed.
What happens to my test data
Closing tests through Remove Scripts does not delete your historical test data.
