Product page content test was created long time ago, and it's functionality can be completely replaced by URL redirect test.
Hence, in order to have more control of your duplicate product (the product page you want to test), we will suggest our user to pre-built the products (duplicate the product page, and make the changes) and test them with url redirect test.
There are few advantages to do this:
You can test more than 1 variant at a time (Content test only support 1 variant v.s. original version)
You can start the test after you finish your set up (duplicate product + edit product)
You can reuse your products
