When to use this

Use the CSV upload option when you:

  • Want to run a price test on a large number of products

  • Already manage your product prices in a spreadsheet

  • Prefer to review or edit pricing data before uploading

Step 1: Start a new price test

  1. In your ABConvert dashboard, click Create new test

  2. Select Price test from the test types

Step 2: Upload your CSV file

  1. In the Select products step, click the Upload CSV button.

  2. A modal will appear with instructions and a link to a CSV template.

  3. Click the Download template link to get the correct format.

  4. Fill out the CSV file with your product handles, variant IDs, and the prices you want to test.

  5. Once your file is ready, upload it using the Add file button in the modal.

  6. Click Submit to confirm and complete the rest of test setup

FAQ

I have multiple test groups in my CSV file, but they are not showing!

The app currently does not add test groups automatically when uploading a CSV file, so the way to upload a CSV file with multiple test groups is as followed:

  1. Upload the CSV file

  2. Add test groups manually in the next step to match the groups in the CSV file

  3. You will see the data shown in the next step

(Make sure to complete 2 before 3!)

What format should the CSV file be in?

The file must match the provided template, with columns for product handle, variant ID, and test prices.

Can I edit the price test after uploading the CSV?

Yes. After uploading, you can review and adjust test settings before launching.

What if my CSV has errors?

ABConvert will show you an error message if the file format or data is invalid. You can fix the file and upload again. If you are unable to upload the file, feel free to reach out to our support team.
