Step 1: Complete Theme Check

Before running price tests, it’s important to ensure your store is compatible. A theme check is required for all stores prior to starting price tests.

  • If you’ve already completed the theme check, you can skip this step.

Theme check notes:

  • Processed Monday–Thursday, 10 AM–2 PM (Paris time, UTC+1).

  • Typically completed within one working day.

  • Custom themes, third-party apps, or advanced features may take longer.

  • Collaborator access may be requested for complex cases.

Step 2: Create a New Test

Click Create new test button on the top right corner and a pop up modal will show up.

Click the price test and you will enter the test creation page.

Step 3: Select Test Products

Choose the products you want to test by clicking Add to experiment checkbox.

Step 4: Split Traffic Settings

Decide how you want to split your traffic.

  • The default is 50/50, which means 50% of visitors will see A price and another 50% of visitors will see B price.

  • To test more price points, click Add Test Group to include additional groups (you can have up to 4 test groups in addition to the original group).

Step 5: Set Test Prices

Enter your test prices manually into the provided fields or use the autofill tool by clicking on Quick Fill button.

We automatically pull cost data from Shopify backend for analytic metrics calculation. So you don't have to input them manually.

Step 6: Final Review + Launch

Before launching the test, you can

  • Basic information: Give the test a suitable title and description.

  • Primary Metric: Choose a metric you want to highlight in the analytics page.

  • Hypothesis (optional): Define the hypothesis, objective, and how success will be measured for this test.

You can choose to launch the test immediately, schedule it for later, or save your setup and launch it at a later time.
