Learn how plan downgrades work in ABConvert and what to do if you want to move to a lower plan. This guide also explains why some plan options may be unavailable based on your Shopify subscription.
Before you start
⚠️ ABConvert plans are tied to your Shopify plan level.
For example, if your Shopify store is on Advanced, you can only choose Advanced or higher plans. Basic plan will not appear as a selectable option.
How plan changes work in ABConvert
ABConvert does not offer a direct downgrade button.
If you want to switch to a different plan, you can go to the left menu > Pricing to change your plan.
How to switch to a different plan
Step 1: Navigate to pricing page
Open ABConvert from your Shopify admin
Select Pricing in the left menu
Step 2: Re-select your new plan
Choose your preferred plan from the available options
Tips
⚠️ We recommend switching plans near the end of your billing cycle because your current subscription stops immediately and we do not issue partial refunds for unused days due to Shopify billing constraints.
You can check your billing cycle in Shopify under Settings > Apps and sales channels > ABConvert > Billing and usage charges
It shows when will the next charge (billing cycle) begin.
FAQ
Why can’t I see the Basic plan?
Your Shopify plan sets the minimum ABConvert plan you can select.
If you are on the Shopify Advanced plan, you cannot choose the Basic plan.
Will I lose my A/B tests after uninstalling?
No. Your tests and data remain saved and reconnect automatically when you choose a plan again.
Do I get charged again when reselecting a plan?
Yes. Shopify processes a new charge when you choose a new plan, so it’s best to make changes close to your billing renewal date.
